With a capacity of up to 200 guests, The Barley Room at Pabst in downtown Milwaukee, Wisconsin, blends industrial history with modern elegance. Its historic charm shines through with exposed cream city brick, metal framing, polished concrete floors, and expansive windows that bathe the space in natural light. The intimate, open floor plan offers a versatile backdrop, making it the perfect canvas for any event.

HISTORY

Built in 1889 for Pabst Brewing Company, the building is a cream city brick building in the German Renaissance Revival style and on the National Register of Historic Places. The building began as the Pabst Brewing Company Bottling House containing all functions associated with bottling beer and employed nearly 900 in the early nineteenth century. The building’s impressive footprint takes up most of the of W. Highland and Juneau block between N. 9th and 10th Streets. Today, the building now known as Eleven25 at Pabst has been fully restored and functions as a mixed-use environment housing modern residential apartments, corporate offices, and restaurants.

Is The Barley Room changing its beverage service?

Starting January 1, 2026, Wisconsin’s new Barn Law requires all wedding venues, community centers, barns, and event spaces to operate under a Tavern B liquor license. This applies statewide and affects how alcohol is served at events.

Can we still bring our own beverages?

Yes—limited BYOB is still allowed. You may bring certain beverages such as soda, water, mixers, and non-alcoholic drinks. Ask our team for the full list of what’s permitted.

How will alcohol be served?

We now offer a cash or credit bar staffed by licensed professionals. This keeps everything compliant while remaining extremely affordable for couples and guests.

Are there minimums or required drink packages?

No! There are no minimum spend requirements, no guest spending minimums, and no forced packages. You only pay for what your guests choose.

Beginning January 1, 2026, Wisconsin’s new Barn Law requires all wedding venues to serve alcohol under a Tavern B liquor license. To stay compliant while keeping events affordable, The Barley Room now offers a professionally staffed cash or credit bar with no minimums and some of the most affordable drink packages in the industryLimited BYOB is still allowed for select refreshments. Non-alcoholic weddings and events are always welcome. Our goal remains the same: flexibility, transparency, and affordability for every celebration.
