Is The Barley Room changing its beverage service?

Starting January 1, 2026, Wisconsin’s new Barn Law requires all wedding venues, community centers, barns, and event spaces to operate under a Tavern B liquor license. This applies statewide and affects how alcohol is served at events.

Can we still bring our own beverages?

Yes—limited BYOB is still allowed. You may bring certain beverages such as soda, water, mixers, and non-alcoholic drinks. Ask our team for the full list of what’s permitted.

We now offer a cash or credit bar staffed by licensed professionals. This keeps everything compliant while remaining extremely affordable for couples and guests.

No! There are no minimum spend requirements, no guest spending minimums, and no forced packages. You only pay for what your guests choose.

Beginning January 1, 2026, Wisconsin’s new Barn Law requires all wedding venues to serve alcohol under a Tavern B liquor license. To stay compliant while keeping events affordable, The Barley Room now offers a professionally staffed cash or credit bar with no minimums and some of the most affordable drink packages in the industryLimited BYOB is still allowed for select refreshments. Non-alcoholic weddings and events are always welcome. Our goal remains the same: flexibility, transparency, and affordability for every celebration.
